Sybil Metcalfe

2D Animator

Howdy! I’m Sybil Metcalfe and I’m a recent Algonquin Animation graduate! I may be a 2D animator at heart, but I’m always eager to learn new skills. 

Born and raised in Ottawa, I live and breathe art. Growing up in a family of photographers, musicians and dancers, I found my heart always leaned toward animated films. I memorized all of my family's animated films and loved watching all the BTS of what programs and techniques they used to make my favourite films!

Outside of animation, I love anything gothic and cute! Out in the wild, you’ll always see me rocking an all-black outfit with an ungodly platform shoe on with a creepy cute plush by my side. With having a sedentary job, I love staying physically fit through activities such as hiking and yoga!
